I got to the venue before the event even started, but couldn’t go in due to some setbacks. I was able to see these designs showcased on the runway and I was in love with some of the pieces.

1. Ovem: Her designs were all in white, her pieces were amazing and I have pictures of just few of the collection.

2. Kolzy couture: it’s a unisex collection with more of the couple’s vibe going on. There were various colours used and its a nice collection in general.

3.Yrs Nigeria: At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the collection. Lace was incorporated a lot. But the colours just made me fall in love with some of the pieces, I liked the use of colours yellow and blue.

4. Nana classique: it’s a men’s wear collection made by a lady, I think she did a great job. She also used the colour yellow just to show that its not meant for just ladies. And also the gold and shiny fabrics made the collection stand out.

5. M’briel fashion: Yellow can also be seen a lot here with lots of flowers, it’s a bright collection I would say because of the range of colours of both flowers and pieces.

6. Stephanie Daniels for style squad:recycling is all that came to my mind when the models started walking out. Papers, plastic bottles and nylons is all that this collection comprises of. It’s jaw dropping I must say.

7. Hym signage: its not surprising this brand won the men’s wear award, the backpack on the jacket just made it all stand out. Also using scarfs around the neck of the ladies like a bandana made the collection lovely.

I decided to dress comfortably since i am just attending and not trying to compete with the designers or anything.  I wore a short block heel to complement my jumpsuit since I was going to be standing mostly; and didn’t go with any purse since my phone could fit in my pocket.

I had a good time in general and the event was ok. The designs  just made the event stand out for me.
